[BEIT NEWS] 01 Feb 2019 – Cars parked by Robot valet; ISO publishes BIM standards

Spread the love

A parking robot, robot valet, will be working in the Gatwick airport, London, later this year.  It enables cars to be parked closer to one another. Drivers will drop off their cars in the designated area before summoning the robot through an app.

Picture: Robo-valet! How travellers at Gatwick airport will have their cars parked by ROBOTS to maximise capacity (without having to worry about them being taken for a joyride).

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has published the first global Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards. They not only promote the use of BIM, but also facilitate efficient collaborations among designers and contractors of different countries on all phases of construction projects.
